I got put on to Born Jamericans through Rap City on BET when they dropped “Boom Shak-A-Tack.” Now my West Indian roots are strong and I’m drawn in by Reggae riddims naturally.
What made these guys different was that they made some serious music. Familiar riddims and samples over some of the most honest and motivating lyrics I’ve ever heard.
This song doesn’t bring me back to any particular time, but makes me think of what’s to come and I hope I get the opportunity to share this with someone special sooner than later. Yes I can sing a little bit… (No Rainbow)

For the record she was not fully black she was mixed. Her name was Nova she was a big deal at the time and cool as hell!!!! But not a straight white girl sorry bro:)
