Jay’s words have influenced a lot of my movements and thought patterns since 1997. My favorite song ever is “Lucky Me,” but don’t get it twisted, I’m no “robot” or want to emulate what him or his team did. It’s about making our own mark in this and like with him it will take time, effort and most of all patients.

I’ve seen minor successes in this game, but in 2009 I saw a lot more than I ever expected. I saw Drake take off, I’ve broken bread with the majors and saw my first taste of movie money. 2009 marked the year I decided that “Corporate America” wasn’t for me and that working for people is like a step above slavery… I learned that we don’t choose the people in our lives, they’re drawn in by factors above and beyond my understanding and whether they choose to stay or not is something we can’t control.

I learned that my train of thought is something most people won’t understand till I make something more of myself to prove it to them. And honestly… FUCK THEM because if you didn’t believe in me then, then why would I take up for you late?

It don’t work that way for me… That’s where this song comes it. Jay-Z “Get My Shit Off (Get Off Minez)” a lost song from the Blueprint 2 sessions that I discovered off a Kay Slay/ Kid Capri mixtape back in 2003 I think. This song is amazing and out of all the music I heard from Jay this decade, I feel that this song sums up how I feel, my struggle (or lack there of) through trying times.

This nigga said, “(If you ain’t ready to die) My advice would be to back up and live/ Cause the fact of this is (I keep 4-4’s in the sky)/ Mind on my money/Nigga I’m so for real I hope you’re not finding this funny (Nah..)/ I live everyday like my last/ Fast money, fast cars, fast temper, draw down faster than y’all (I’m about to get my shit off)”

Shit… I can’t front like I ain’t had it easy my whole life, but at least I know where I came from and aside from the issues, the stress, the people tugging at me to do it! DO IT! DO IT!!! I’m always gonna take it all in and  follow my heart.

2010 marks the year that we can reflect back on 10 years of real memories for people in my generation and honestly… It’s all a blur to me. I lived it up too much and have today to look forward to. Tomorrow isn’t really in our hands at all. It’s what we do in the now that will define the generations to come. Remember that and live each day by your own freewill and if you have an ounce of courage in your heart and mind  to go after what you really want out of life,  maybe we’re on the same page and there is some hope for us in this world of sin…

Enjoy the music.

P.S.: I’m going to be writing the faces, places and music that made my 2009 special after New Years… Look out for that one and enjoy yourselves tonight… I know I will 🙂

That’s why I give you my UPS, my DOWNS, my PAIN, my PASSION, my PLEASURE, my GOOD & BAD times, niggas… my whatever
This my version of R Kelly’s This is “A Nigga’s Threat”
I hope you took from it what works for you
I was put on this EARTH to move MOUNTAINS, I think…
I’m almost sure…
But I’ve been smokin’ a lot lately, not counting my drink…

DISCLAIMER: Download the song “FUCK I LOOK LIKE” (ladies) before you start calling me an asshole. 😉

So I’m a big Sporty Thievz fan even though they only really put out one album and every single they had poppin’ was pretty much on some ‘woman bashing’ shit, but hey… That was their lane and I can respect that. So I was choppin’ up on the twit with my nigga Ivory and he mentioned their “Cheapskate” song as being one of his favorites and I was like fuck dat! “FUCK I LOOK LIKE” goes way hard and really puts these bitches in they place! haahahaha 😉

Seriously, I’m sure these niggas wasn’t 100% serious when they dropped this shit, but it’s daam funny and entertaining to sing and blow some steam off when you mad at a jawn. Ali, Shaun and I have ridden off to this song many times on those late night of partying. Shit this used to be Kenny & I’s anthem when we had the L.I. bachelor pad back in 2003.

Luckily I’ve always surrounded myself by women who aren’t selfish or money hungry… That’s a blessing and a curse because the need for money is replaced by schizophrenia, neurosis and just plane old coo-coo sometimes…

Lately though I haven’t had that problem lingering when it comes to females in my life and I’m kinda happy. 🙂

So… This to me is the “HARDEST WOMAN BASHING SONG OF THE DECADE!” I only say this because it points out the obvious and makes a nigga really want to tell a bitch, “WHAT THE FUCK I LOOK LIKE???

P.S. Excuse my language… I’m a method writer, I have to get into character when I write about a topic… I ain’t really mean to call any of you hoes, “bitches.” 😉

Why you can’t buy me a drink, buy me a mink?
Pay for my link, pay for my rent?
Pay for my cab, at least go half?
Throw me some cash, throw me some ass?
Fill my belly, wit shrimp and spaghetti?
Take me to the telly, let me use your celly?
Take me to the movies, take me to bloomi’s?
Buy me some jewelry, buy me some coogi?
Buy me a coupe, feed me some fruits?
Buy me some suits, buy me some boots?
Pay for my cut, fuck when I wanna fuck ?
Lick me up, why don’t you come pick me up?
Why don’t you meet me here, and meet me there?
Pay my fair, pay for my beer?
Pay my phone, pay for my loans?
Make me moan, take me home?

“I get crazy head, on the crazy reg/ She say my dick thick like a baby leg…”
